Chiut Chair

The Chiut Chair is a 2025 addition to the Korean Character Furniture Series, utilizing traditional techniques preserved as intangible cultural heritage in calligraphy and sculpture. The backrest optimizes the gentle alignment of the spine and features a mechanism that allows for manual adjustment of the kenaf slices to suit individual physical requirements. The Hiut Chair and Hiut Bench, released in 2015, feature finished surfaces on the sliced kenaf-based bio-composite, while the Chiut Chair preserves the natural sliced form, enhancing environmental sustainability, human health, aesthetics, and practical value.
